Best Software

This summary page is not complete, please go to the homepage where you can see a list of link building software reviews.

The products below are listed in the order I would buy them if I were starting out from scratch. Each product is also reviewed in full elsewhere, links to reviews can be found in this page.

1) Sick Submitter

I am not a big sick user because I have other stuff that does the things sick can do but I have seen someone else get very impressive results with it, who kindly wrote a review of sick submitter which you can read here.

I have seen the author of that post doe some very impressive stuff with Sick Submitter, which is a LOT cheaper than the tools I use to achieve the same results. If I were starting out now, I would not bother with half of the stuff I own and would just get Sick Submitter, as it has a low start up cost and does a lot of different things!

2) Magic Submitter.

Kind of a cross between Sick Submitter and SE Nuke, comes loaded with high PR article and Web 2.0 sites but also has a designer mode which allows you to create your own routines like sick submitter.

Its a bit pricey compared to sick, but half the price of SE Nuke.

Uses: Auto create accounts on authority Article directories (ezine etc), Press release sites, WordPress Blogs, Web 2.0 sites, create profiles and more. Create your own submit routines to target any site you need to with captcha support. You can use this to promote sites directly. Great for press release / High PR article directories etc. It is slow to use, success rates are not always great, but it can get you half decent links from a wide range of sites.

3) ScrapeBox

The best value on this site, a steal for the price. Out of the box it is not the best link building tool though. It is a mass blog comment spammer, links are poor and you will get Akismetted if you hit wordpress sites. However, it can do a lot more than generate comment spam, it is more of an SEO swiss army knife than a link building tool.

Uses: It can find and test proxies, scrape and analyse backlinks, do mass page rank checks on large lists and more. Great for analysis, building lists of sites for whatever reason you may need to!

An essential purchase…. you can read my scrapebox review here.

4) The Best Article Submitter:

Either Article Marketing Demon or Article Marketing Robot, I am reviewing these tools at the moment. Both are a good buy. For more information, have a l0ok at my review of Article Marketing Demon which also compares it to AMR.

5) GSA Website Submitter:

Great tool for getting links from web directories, but despite a high level of automation it is time consuming to use, and quite expensive. Its the best directory submitter I have found, and the only thing I use for getting those kind of links. You can read a GSA Website Submitter Review Here.

6) Bookmarking Demon.

This was high on my list, its great software for a one off cost, but I think most of what it does can now be replicated with Sick Submitter. If you have sick then this is probably not worth purchasing.

Everyone plugs this software. It is versatile, can get links off a variety of different targets and can thus be used for a wide range of purposes. Currently $147 one off cost it represents good value despite the increased cost.

Uses: Auto create accounts and submit to major authority bookmarking services as well as Pligg, Scuttle and PHP Dugg sites. Numerous lowish quality backlinks. Good for indexing, will improve rank in sufficient numbers. Do not blast new sites too heavily.

7) Auto Pligg

Again, sick submitter can do Pligg sites, though it will cost you more in captchas. If you have sick, then this one is probably not worth the extra money.

Auto Pligg was “the” tool of 2008 / 2009. For a while this was the best link building software I have ever used. It is quick and easy to use, and in its day packed a punch. Innevitably the target sites (Pligg sites) got spammed out and Bookmarking Demon started supporting Pligg sites. Auto Pligg is still the daddy when it comes to Pligg submissions, but it is an ageing one trick pony and certainly not worth $289 compared to BMD for $149. You can read my full AutoPligg review here.
