Instant Social Anarchy Review

Instant Social Anarchy is sold by dotComSecrets.com, however, it is actually a Syndk8 product (like Auto Pligg and SEO Link Pro) which was licensed to the guy behind dotComSecrets.
Once consequence of this seems to be that there is no decent tech support. There is no user forum either
What does Instant Social Anarchy Do?
Instant Social Anarchy targets the following platforms:
- StatusNet
- Yonkly
- Revou
- Jisko
- Elgg
The core features of Instant Social Anarchy are:
- Account registration / confirmation
- Support for captcha solving services
- Make friend requests
- Join groups
- Post content snippets
- Everything is spinnable, usernames, content etc
For some reason Instant Social Anarchy uses a centralised service to process activation emails. If that service goes down you cannot register accounts. Not one Syndk8 application I have seen includes a proper POP or IMAP mail handler which I find a bit odd, as it would avoid issues with the centralised service.
When you make friend requests you can “make random friends” or “make friends by keyword”, the idea being that you can befriend users who are interested in a particular topic.
When you join groups, you can “Join groups with the most subscribers” or “Join groups by keyword”, again allowing you to target specific user groups or keywords.
Making friends and joining groups is a powerful feature as this will mean your posts are syndicated / backlinked more effectively within the target site / application.
How Well Does Instant Social Anarchy Work?
I found the application quite buggy. It crashed from time to time, not to the point that it is unusable, but certainly to the point that it is frustrating and annoying. Other strange bugs appear from time to time with the navigation, so sometimes mouse overs do not work properly “now you see it now you dont” in the navigation bar is not helpful!
Some of the target sites strip out anchored links and only allow the URL to be posted, which is converted to a link. So, it is not possible to get anchored links on all these targets.
The key to any kind of link building software is the quality of sites that it can submit to, and unfortunately, as soon as a product like this goes on sale:
- Good quality sites tighten up their sign up process and moderation to keep you out
- Low quality sites are abandoned to the spam fest and are overrun with crap
And that is what seems to have happened here. When you submit to these sites, successful posts are on pages that are crawling with crap. Soon these posts are lost in the marass. They pass little if any value and the lack of juice is only compounded by the lack of anchor text.
Here are some examples:
Links in bios / profiles did not seem to be placed properly either.
The other issue would seem to be that on a target site overrun with spam where everyone is sending out automated friend requests who is there to accept them?
The bulk of targets which are successfully submitted to are Elgg sites. These are mostly dead PR0 sites, abandoned projects / failed community sites. With Elgg sites Instant Social Anarchy submits “blog posts” allowing you to submit a large piece of text with anchored links inside. These are pretty good, except for the fact the target sites are so weak and heavily spammed. A run on 400 of these things will get you perhaps 4 or 5 Yahoo registered links. You do get submission reports, so you can go back and backlink these pages, but if you have to do that then there are other applications that will belch out crud of equal lowley stature for far less money. For example, I would not rate these “blog posts” any higher than a mass shit sling onto article directories using Magic Article Submitter. In fact, I would say the results of spewing and backlinking your crapticles with Magic Article Submitter are superior to the results of doing the same with Instant Social Anarchy, and, Magic Article Submitter is a tenth of the price when purchased with Magic Article Rewriter.
Should You Buy Instant Social Anarchy?
In terms of the quality / quantity of links it can get then no, it is pretty weak as a link building tool. It has also proved unreliable and I have spent a disproportinal amount of time using it for the number of links I got back in return.
As a social marketing tool, I am not sure how many leads you can drive with spam posts to spammed out social sites. As most of these sites are dead, no one is going to accept your friend requests, unless the centralised mail responder does that for you, but I have not seen any evidence of that, and even if it does, it is spambots befriending spam bots.
That said Instant Social Anarchy is new, and it may improve over time, and above all it is unique in what it does. It will open doors for you in terms of being able to post onto a different set of targets.
I guess it is worth considering if you have every other tool listed above it on my “best backlinking software” page, but, Instant Social Anarchy is going to be put pretty close to the bottom of that page.
Unless you are really chasing every possible link source and have the time / outsourcers to squeeze every drop of crapjuice you can from this thing I dont think it is a very good purchase for $297 £397 (they just put the price up
).
Well as you can see above the price has increased to $397. Frankly, I think that is a crazy price to pay for something that only seems capable of getting a tiny number of Yahoo links indexed under its own steam. Furthermore, that handful of Y links will wither and die as they are buried under the heap of subsequent submissions.
When you think you can get Bookmarking Demon for $147, and a decent target list for another £25 or so, or buy Xrumer, an infinitely more powerful tool for an extra $143, or Magic Article Submitter bundled with a good rewriter tool for $100 then, at $397 I really cannot see where this product fits.

Nice Review!

Good to see there’s another source of honest IM reviews (must be at least 3 or 4 on the entire Internet, by now!
