10 Links A Day Review

This service started out as 20 Links A Day and was around $200 per month.

It was subsequently re-released as 10 links a day, half the number of links for around half the price.

10LinksaDay is run by the guys from Fantomaster, who are very well known and seem to have a good reputation.

If you read their FAQ section on their sales page it all sounds very promising. They mention the fact that they are not just just using blogs in their network, but other types of site too to provide a more natural looking mix of backlinks.

In answer to “how many sites are in the network” the answer is “think low to middle five digit numbers”, so, I was thinking perhaps 20 – 30,000 … adding several hundred per month wow!

I used this service before a swarm of competitors were on the scene, I think Link Vana was around, and perhaps Unique Article Wizzard, but really these networks were thin on the ground at that time.

This system did not have a spinning capability, but, if you took out a premium subscription you could generate an XML file for upload, so upload all your submissions in a single file. A nice trick, but really superceded by the next generation of submit services spearheaded by unique article wizard, which have integrated spinners.

I used this service a few times, once for a few months as 20 links a day, and a couple of times as 10 links a day.

What Were The Results of using 10 Links A Day?

The first thing I discovered was that they were, of course using caught domains.

These domains had initially been populated with articles taken from Ezine Articles (duplicate content).

After a few weeks I noticed that links were being re-submitted to the same blogs, which was a surprise as I thought with thousands of sites in the network that would not happen.

At that time I counted around 600 sites in the network.

Of those only half were indexed, the other half had been de indexed by Google.

Of the indexed sites, most had PR0 – PR2. PR3 was pretty rare, there were one or two PR4 sites, so all in all pretty weak.

I never saw any links other than wordpress sites. From the sales pitch / FAQ I was expecting to see links from other types of site like Joomla, but it just did not happen. As far as I could see this network was 100% WordPress.

I was very dissapointed with 10 Links a Day, but, I did re-use it a couple of times on single sites that needed a boost, again, remember this was before the plethora of similar services that emerged later on. I did see some benefit from using the network at that time.

As for footprints, this network has some real howlers, it is very very easy to find these sites once you have seen one.

I just did a check on an old site to see how they were doing. I still have links from these sites after a couple of years, and, these sites are still indexed in Google (I found the sites using Yahoo). The sites are still active, there are recent posts on them, but, all of the 10 or so I just checked are PR0.

So, based on my observations, which are admittedly out of date, I found:

  • A small network of perhaps 600 – 800 sites
  • 100% wordpress sites
  • Initially poulated with articles
  • Many not indexed in Google
  • Very low PR from sites that were indexed

Subsequent uses of the system all submitted to the same sites I found in my original analysis of this network. I saw no evidence of hundreds of new sites being added every month.

Should You Use 10 Links A Day?

Errm… No. There are now lots of these services to choose from, and most are both better and cheaper than 10 Links A Day.

Disclaimer bit: It is a long time since I used this network, perhaps it has undergone a revolution and is now the bees knees, the only thing I can say for sure about this network today is that a load of PR0 sites are still active in this network.

      No worries :p

Build My Rank is the best show in town at the moment, you should take a look at that ( i posted a full review here: http://linkbuildingreviews.com/buildmyrank-review/ ), I will do another update on that shortly… but its working well.

If you want something more automated, Unique Article Wizard is probably still the “best” (cream of the crap). Article Ranks is ok too.
